Our event in collaboration with HRNextGenz went off to a roaring success! While learning about HR from our CEO @ripyrm, we also discussed and shared about employee experiences with the theme of the spirit of unity and national pride in celebrating Sumpah Pemuda!
At the center of our event was the concept of the Employee Journey.
Companies need to ensure the positive experience of their employees to enhance productivity and wellbeing. The way to do this is to plot out the entirety of the employee’s experience from the early stages of their tenure, and before, such as in the stages of early exposure to the company. They also must identify the good, the bad, and the areas in which improvement can be made.
Oftentimes, there is a gap between the company’s intended employee value proposition and the reality felt by employees. Should this gap not be addressed and handled, it will be a barrier to building the employer brand’s image as well as an effective performance by the employee, as well as being a risk to retaining quality talent. Therefore improving wellbeing and productivity factor can affect employee journey in a workplace.
We asked our audience what an employee journey meant to them, and discovered that a key component was the experience. Other valuable aspects of their journey were the learning, the challenge, the development, the interactions, among others. Additionally, representative of their generation, our audience believed that the most important part of the journey was fulfillment.
We hope that we parted ways with our attendees having provided them with valuable lessons that they will take with them as they progress further into their journey, and that not only did they learn, they found a sense of community.
