Why balance? The world’s population is composed of a roughly equal amount of men and women. Yet why don’t women occupy more prominent positions within organizations? Step by step, and promoting more women to higher positions will show to the newer entrants of your firm that your organization has a culture committed to promotion and betterment of women within a workplace.
A fair promotion system will improve the gender balance among top management, as well as act as a symbol telling the newer, female entrants to the organization to keep striving, and that the organization’s culture will facilitate their ambitions.
The bottom line is that women need to help other women succeed, and that conveying appreciation for them through words, visible gestures, and systems within your organization is sure to uplift these women and help your organization reach new heights.
